Pin their numbers half way up their backs not on the base of the spine, so I can't see it when they cross the line (it costs them up to 3 seconds remember Fi is always right!)

Have you seen Steve Bent’s hat?

No – I hear it is dangerous for ladies

February 2009 Member Profile is James Griffiths

Second Claim Member – Long legs and boyish good looks!

Favourite Bike?

I haven't ridden that dream road bike yet, so my favourite bike is my trusty Cannondale F2000sl mountain bike. It's 12 years old now are probably the lightest and best aluminium mtb frame that has been made. I have treated it to new XTR kit, Rock Shox Sid World Cup Carbon front shocks and some Bontrager ceramic rim wheels that include Chris King Classic hubs. It is one very light bike!!!

Best TT Course?

I am quite fond of the clubs Craven Arms Scenic. It keeps you interested!

Who'd you like to see in a skin suit (sex symbol)?

I'd happily do a 2up with Angelina Jolie if she rocked up in a skin suit!!! Yummy!

Pie or pasty?

Pasties all the way, no pie cases to dispose of.

Training tip?

Good winter base miles at your own pace, don't get sucked into turning these rides into races.
Then to get good top end strength and pace, train with someone better than you, If I go out with Stu Griffiths then I know I will get quicker over the season.

Do your family disown you when you get into your lycra?

They do give me some strange looks.

Favourite event?

Up to now the Duo Normand stands out as a great test and a great social affair.

Cycling hero?

Lance Armstrong, just getting over the cancer is impressive.

Tubs or Clinchers ?

Definately clinchers, my well know experience with tubs has scarred me for life!

What are you aiming for cycling wise for next year?

Looking for PB's in 10's and 25 TT's. Would like to complete my first 50 and 100mile TT's as well.

This is a pic from the tour a few years ago when they did the Alpe d'Huez climb as a time trial.
We met Robin Williams out there. He is a big supporter of Lance.

Ride more than you eat!

Do your family or fiancée disown you when you get into your lycra?

November 2008 Profile Is Peter Ding

Favourite Bike?

My argon summer road bike - first 'decent' bike that I had. Carbon monocoque, and when I first rode it I suddenly had an new pair of legs.

Best TT Course?

The Ludlow 25 - It seems to suite my style, not too hilly, and always something to concentrate on. I can't seem to keep my speed up on long flat courses.

Who'd you like to see in a skin suit (sex symbol)?

Most sex symbols I would rather see not in a skin suit!

Strawberries or raspberries?

Strawberries - can't eat enough of them when they are in season.

Training tip?

Keep things long and steady in the winter, and pick up the high end training in early spring to avoid burn out. The season is long enough as it is.

Do your family disown you when you get into your lycra?

My family disown me altogether when it comes to cycling.

Favourite event?

I have enjoyed the autumn epic each year it has been run - except this year when I missed it due to training for the track championships. Almost enjoyed my second ever 100 TT this year. The Duo Normand is hard to beat, especially the social aspect, but probably the best event for enjoyment, success and novelty was the LVRC Track Championships.

Cycling hero?

I suppose Lance Armstrong is hard to beat - successful, dedicated and focused, all on top of having an amazing physiology.

Kylie or Danni? Tricky question?

I don't think either of them are very good cyclists.
